Mar 7, 1940 — Jul 4, 2026

Nashville, TN.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry "Buddy" Thomas Carver-age 86 of Nashville, TN. Jerry passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. His greatest joy was spending time with the people he loved. Jerry was a steady presence, a source of wisdom, and a man whose love was shown through quiet moments (and sometimes loud moments), hard work, and unwavering dedication. Known to many as "Buddy," the nickname reflected exactly who he was. He never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and important. Whether you had known him for years or had just met him, he had a way of making you feel like you were the only person in the world when he spoke to you. His kindness, genuine interest in others, and warm smile left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Buddy dedicated 35 years of his career to Ford Glass, where he worked faithfully until his retirement. He took pride in providing for his family and built a life rooted in hard work, integrity, and dedication. Buddy was a passionate sports fan and could almost always be found cheering on his favorite teams. Whether it was Alabama football ("Roll Tide!"), the Atlanta Braves, or Vanderbilt basketball, there was a good chance one of their games was playing on his television. Buddy loved to fish. Fishing wasn't just a hobby, it was where he found peace. He cherished his days on the lake, casting a line, enjoying the quiet beauty of the water. The lake was his happy place. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Preceded in death by his parents Herman and Mary Lee Carver. Brother, Raymond (Eva, Becky and Tony) Carver. Sisters, Ruth (Michael and Louise) Wilson, Mildred (Ed and Marcia) Andrews, Shirley (Cordell "Corky") Brummitt, Carol (Roy) Smith. Loving Mother-in-law Margaret Myers and Sister-in-law Priscilla Weems.

Survived by devoted wife Belinda of 61 years and their sons Timothy and Steven Carver. Granddaughter Kayla (Terreck) Jones. Grandson Taylor Carver. Great-grandsons Aiden, Brayland and Briar Jones. Mother of Grandchildren Teresa Goodwin who remained a cherished part of the family. Brother Larry (Ginny) Carver and Sister Doris Jolley. Special Niece Jennifer Weems (Michael) Harris along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
