Vivian Lareine Kanash

Vivan L Kanash (Workman), known affectionately among her friends and family as “C.J.”, left this world suddenly on June 26, 2025 at the age of 59. Born Aug. 4, 1965 in Havre de Grace, Maryland, where she lived the first 18 years of her life, she graduated from Havre de Grace Senior High School in 1983 before ultimately moving to Dover, Delaware. C.J. was known for her brash and outspoken behavior, her joy for living life large, and a blunt honesty that belied a deeply kind and loving soul who cherished her many friends, loved her life partner Lisa Olson, and was devoted to God. She died in Robertson County, Tennessee doing what she loved, driving an 18-wheeler with her faithful furry friend Roadie by her side. In addition to Lisa, she leaves behind her mother, Lareine C. Cowan; her brother Morris Workman, Jr. and sister-in-law Constance Workman; her uncle John Conner and aunt Margaret Conner; her aunt Patricia Conner; her nieces Cassandra Boyd and Crystal Wilder; her great-nephew Zander Wilder; and numerous beloved cousins on the Workman, Conner, Ramey, and Wille sides of the family. She was predeceased by her father, Morris Workman, Sr., for whom she provided care over the last years of his life. She will also be deeply missed by the friends with whom she shared her life for decades, some dating back to middle school, as well as the many friends and family members she frequently visited throughout the 48 states she travelled during her career. At home, she leaves behind 4 dogs and 2 cats.

Friends are invited to a Celebration Of Life to be held on Saturday, August 9 from noon to 2 p.m. at La Stanza’s at the Vincenzo’s Italian Restaurant located at 1035 Forrest Ave in Dover, DE.
