Thomas "Twitch" Richardson

December 19, 1951 — July 13, 2021

Thomas “Twitch” Richardson of Centennial, Colorado passed away, on July 13th, 2021, with his son Tanner by his side.  He was 69 years young.

Twitch was born in Storm Lake Iowa, to Ora and Rae Richardson in 1951.  While residing in Iowa, he taught special needs individuals and worked at the local meat packing plant.  He had some great stories about growing up there and living in the “Farm House” with his partners in crime.  He graduated from Buena Vista College in 1975 and moved to Colorado in 1979.

He soon became a securities trader where he formed many lifelong friendships.  He was a self-proclaimed “Wolf of Wallstreet,” and worked in the securities industry right up to his semi-forced retirement in 2020.

To know his was to LOVE him.

Twitch was one of the most generous people to his family and friends.   He would give anyone the shirt off his back, and the last dollar in his wallet if anyone was in need.    He had a gigantic heart and a boisterous laugh.   He had a passion for gardening and was very proud of his tomato plants.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor, and his positive energy and strength.  He endured many years of chronic pain and illness in his fight against Leukemia (CLL).    His ability to make light of his illness was a true testament to his strength.

He was a devoted Broncos-Avalanche-Rockies fan, and it was somewhat difficult to watch any of these sports with him, as he was an extremely vocal couch coach for each team.

Twitch would tell you his greatest achievement in life, was his son Tanner.  He was so proud of the man that he has become, and he always vocalized this to Tanner and everyone he was in contact with.

He was an avid reader and rarely ever seen without his nose in a book or iPad, reading his favorite westerns, mysteries and even some romance novels.

A celebration of life will be held for his family and friends to reminisce and share their version of the stories that he hopefully embellished.  You may email us for place, date, and time.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Pan Foundation, which paid for Twitch’s extremely costly Chemo treatments the last couple of years.  The donation link can be found at  Where you can dedicate your donation in honor or in memory of Twitch.
