Thomas Obrien McLaughlin III passed away peacefully on August 1, 2022, in Aurora, Colorado.  He was 65 years old.

Tom was born on September 10, 1956, in Buffalo, New York.  After high school Tom joined the Navy where he served his country for 4 years.  In 1979 Tom moved to Aurora, Colorado where he married Susan (Poliks) McLaughlin, in 1981 they welcomed their first son Thomas Obrien McLaughlin IV, in 1983 they welcomed their second son Rory James McLaughlin, in 1984 they were blessed with their first daughter Ashley Nicole (McLaughlin) Malys

and in 1987 they welcomed their second daughter Courtney Marie McLaughlin.  In 2006 Tom met his partner Ellen Eichstdt with whom he shared the rest of his life with up until the end.  Tom was an enthusiastic Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos fan and enjoyed reading Steven King novels.

In addition Tom is survived by his father Thomas Obrien McLaughlin Jr and the late Mary W Watson, his brother Tim McLaughlin his wife Ellen and two nephews Kevin and Sean, his sister Donna McLaughlin, sister Monica McLaughlin and nephew Lucas Williams, sister Maureen (McLaughlin) Stobbelaar and his brother in law Peter Stobbelaar and nephews Andrew, Alexander and Samuel, his sister Mary Grace (McLaughlin) Loyer and brother in law Alan Loyer, nephew Christopher Loyer and niece Allison Goodspeed, sister Maria (McLaughlin) Lindberg, brother-in-law Geroge Lindberg and was the uncle to Griffen, Aiden, Dylan, Tasha and Ryan, his son Rory McLaughlin and his wife Mary (Oneilo) McLaughlin and their two daughter Khloey and McKenzie McLaughlin, his son Tommy Mclaughlin and his two children Caden McLaughlin and Charlee McLaughlin and his two daughter Ashley (McLaughlin) Malys and Courtney McLaughlin.

Tom McLaughlin will be laid to rest at Fort Logan cemetery on August 16, 2022, at 10:30 a.m.
