Terrie Lynn Brannan Gay

Parker, Colorado

Terrie Lynn Gay, wonderful wife to Tom for 39 years, mother to her daughters Rachel and Beth, grandmother to Wyatt and Weston, sister to Pat and daughter to Cotton, died quietly in the early hours of Saturday July 2, 2022 in Centennial CO. She was 69 years young.

Her mother, Sharon Lee Rolens (Jones) of Denver CO and her brother, Michael Weston Brannan of Jacksonville IL, preceded her in death.

Terrie was a 1971 graduate of Winchester (IL) High School, a 1975 graduate of Millikin University, a 1981 graduate (Masters) of the University of Illinois and a 2003 graduate of the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.  She was a retired member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Douglas/Elbert County Bar Association. Also, she was a proud member of the Delta-Delta-Delta sorority for 50 years. Terrie loved playing the piano and dancing competitively in senior tap and ballet.

Terrie was employed by the Allstate Insurance Company for 37 years.  During her employment, she worked a variety of assignments in the claim department in Decatur IL, Bannockburn IL, Northbrook IL and Englewood CO until her retirement in 2013. After retirement from Allstate, she began a new career as a mediation settlement attorney. She practiced mediation settlement of personal injury and insurance bad faith cases from 2014 until 2021.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Frank Thomas (Tom) Gay of Parker CO, daughters Rachel Delaine Richards (Dave) of Elbert CO and Sharon Elizabeth Canella (Steve) of Denver CO, grandsons Wyatt David Richards and Weston Randall Richards of Elbert CO; her father, Loyal W. (Cotton) Brannan and stepmother Joan Brannan and brother Dennis Patrick Brannan (Jo Ellen), all of Jacksonville IL. Five half siblings, Lori Brannan and Danny Brannan of Jacksonville IL, Jessica Brannan of Quincy IL, Brian Brannan of Iowa City IA and Tim Brannan (Natalie) of Palatine IL; one aunt, Beverly Gover of Kane IL and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
