Sylvia Bohte

April 8, 1940 — January 14, 2021

Denver, CO

Sylvia Marie Bohte, 80 years old, passed away on January 14th, 2021. She was welcomed to heaven by her parents Steven and Matilda, siblings Steve, Len, Dan and Rosemary. She was born in Denver, Colorado where she lived her whole life. She grew up in Globeville where she met lifetime long friends. She loved telling the story of playing Cinderella in her school play.

Sylvia was a caring and generous daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves behind nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends. She was our favorite Auntie. Sylvia loved having puppies around. Her dogs were always spoiled and so incredibly loved. Winston has also joined her in heaven and he will be spoiled there as well.

Christmas was definitely her favorite holiday! Her tree was always immaculate and she took pride in placing each ornament on the tree as well as each bow on each present. Her home was always welcoming and the smell of Potica let everyone know it was Christmas time. She loved musicals and going to plays, in her younger years loved dancing, bowling and skiing.

Sylvia was so generous and full of love. She helped anyone who she thought needed a little boost. She cared for strangers as much as she cared for her family. Family and friends could count on her for anything and everything. Even something as little as a hug and she gave the best hugs. Her home always had an open door policy for anyone who wanted to visit. She was always prepared to have coffee and treats ready at a moment's notice and she would not take no for an answer. Sylvia always insisted that she prepare something for any guest.

She was and will forever be our Auntie. We will miss her everyday! She is at peace.
