Scott Mason, 74, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on June 10, 2026.
Born on April 13, 1952, to Burton and Yvonne Mason, Scott lived a life filled with faith, family, music, adventure, and a deep appreciation for the people and experiences that made life meaningful. He was a devoted Christian whose faith served as a foundation throughout his life and guided the way he loved and cared for those around him.
Scott was a talented musician and proudly played in the band Oasis. Music was one of his greatest passions and brought him joy throughout the years. When he wasn't playing music, he could often be found riding his Harley-Davidsons—especially his beloved Softail Deuce and V-Rod—and enjoying the freedom of the open road. Some of his most treasured memories were made traveling to Sturgis with his son, Stephen, and his wife, Cheryl, sharing the experiences, friendships, and traditions that became a cherished part of his life.
Scott also held a special place in his heart for Hawaii. He spent much of his time there and embraced the culture, values, and spirit of aloha. The islands became a second home to him and reflected his love of beauty, connection, and living life to the fullest.
A lifelong animal lover, especially of dogs, Scott always seemed to have a loyal companion nearby. His children grew up in a home filled with wagging tails, laughter, and the unconditional love that animals bring.
More than anything, Scott loved his family.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Mason; Kristin Hersh, with whom he shared three beloved children, Stephen Mason, Sarah Scott, and Aimee Rowland; his stepchildren, Eric Woodruff, Michelle Jewett, and Alan Woodruff; his granddaughter, Rainey Mae Mason; his grandsons, Brayden William Scott and Aiden James Scott; along with numerous extended family members, friends, fellow musicians, riding companions, and loved ones whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Burton Mason; his mother, Yvonne Mason; and his brothers, Mark Mason and Adam Mason.
Those who knew Scott will remember his love of music, motorcycles, dogs, Hawaii, family gatherings, and above all, his faith. He had a way of making people feel welcome, sharing stories that made others laugh, and living life on his own terms while keeping those he loved close to his heart.
Whether he was playing music, riding down the highway, spending time in Hawaii, or surrounded by family and friends, Scott believed life was meant to be lived fully and shared with those you love.
Though our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort in knowing that he has finished his earthly journey and is now at peace in the presence of the Lord. His legacy lives on through the music he played, the roads he traveled, the family he loved, and the countless lives he touched.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
