Sandra Stensrud

Our mother Sandra Lea Jacoby Stensrud was born in Grand Forks North Dakota on December 6, 1938.  She was the daughter of Cliffton and Eleanor Jacoby.   She was one of six children and from oldest to youngest Cliffton, Jon, Sharon, Marcia, Sandra and Rogene.   She is survived by sister Rogene, son Arney, daughter Kristin and step son Kim.

Mom was known by Noni to grandson Stone, granddaughter Kennedy and grandson Reid.   Noni was a mother, sister, grandmother and friend to so many.  She has lived in Colorado since 1974.  Mom had a wonderful life in ND, NM, CA and CO.   Mom spent the last few years with love for her friends and family.  She was a friend, teacher, chauffeur, costume maker, confidant, coach and most proudly a mother & grandmother.

Sandra spent so much time looking after the needs of others, she often neglected doing things for herself.  She has touched so many lives in so many different ways.   Our mother has been our heart and support for our entire lives.   We would like to quote a few sentences from Helen Steiner Rice – “A Mother’s love is something that no one can explain…A Mother’s Love It is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking…A Mother’s Love is another wondrous evidence of God’s tender guiding hand.” We will never forget all of the love and endless compassion and that Noni brought to our lives, and we will forever have her in our hearts.
