Ronnie Lee Ogg, age 81, of Old Hickory TN passed away peacefully on July 26th, 2026 at Alive Hospice in Nashville after a long battle with health complications.
Born on February 22, 1945 in Davidson County. Ronnie was a beloved child of the late Hobert Lee Ramsey and Inez Hargrove Ramsey. She grew up in Greenbrier and graduated Greenbrier High School class of 1963 and was the eldest of 5 siblings. She was baptized at an early age and a strong believer in our lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Ronnie dedicated her life to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known for her passion of reading books having read 1,000 books her senior year of high school. She enjoyed cooking meals for her large family and excelled in various crafts. She mastered sewing, knitting, crocheting, water painting and even taught ceramic classes in her home. She was a woman of many talents. Ronnie was affectionately known as “Nana” to her grandchildren and quickly carried the name by many others who were blessed to feel her warmth and love.
Ronnie was employed at several banks after graduating high school. She later began working for Nasco in Springfield until they ceased operations, acquiring many wonderful friendships during her time there. She then started a new career in home loan mortgages spanning over 20 years up until her retirement.
She is left to cherish her memories, her only daughter Tempest Ogg Reres, Very special granddaughters Misty (Shon) Jones, Breanna Ross, the apple of her eye great grandson Devion (Keyara) Jones and Matthew Jones, 2 beautiful great-great grandchildren De’Arra Jones and Devion Jones Jr., her best friend/sister Debbie Ramsey Moon and sister Melody Greenwell, along with several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband Billy Clay Ogg, sister Cheryl Head, brothers Danny and Larry Ramsey.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
