Ronald Salazar

Ronald Paul Salazar, 66, passed away in Santa Fe, NM on February 25, 2026. He was born June 1, 1959 in Raton, NM. He left this world after a long illness.

Ron's career was cooking. He loved to cook for work, at home, for holidays, family gathering barbeques, etc.

He loved his New Mexico music, and he loved to joke around making people laugh; if you were down, he knew how to make you smile (laugh).

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eusebio and Flora Salazar, brothers Larry and Frank Salazar and nephews and nieces.

He is survived by his family: daughter Jennifer Romero (Eric), grandson Sixto, sister Diana Gutierrez (Jose), brother Andrew Salazar (Audrey), sister Patricia Salazar, many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Celebration of life will be held at Santa Fe Church of God on March 25th at 1:00 p.m. at 8 Reata Rd., Santa Fe, NM 87507, followed by a reception.
