Obituary

Robert E Hicks

Robert E. Hicks (Bobby) passed away unexpectedly April 18, 2026. The first-born child of Bob and Judy Hicks, Bobby was born in Denver in 1974 and raised in Arvada, Colorado. He was older brother to sister Cody.

Throughout his school years, Bobby was a gifted athlete in soccer, baseball, and basketball. After graduation from Standley Lake High School and spending a short time at Western Colorado University in Gunnison, Bobby pursued his passion for basketball. He became part of a team that eventually became the 1995 Triple Crown 3 on 3 National Basketball Champions.

Over the years, Bobby was the jack of many trades. He worked in Graphics Design, plumbing, Instructional Technology and most recently installing signs for Admiral Signs. He also owned a title search company for several years with ex-wife, Jennifer.

Bobby’s greatest accomplishment was his daughter, Kayla (12). During the last 10 years, he became enthralled with the “country life” and especially with horses. Bobby, Jamie (girlfriend) and Kayla had several horses on their ranch. Kayla also started competing in various horse competitions under Jamie’s guidance.

Bobby also became quite the pool player even going to an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas for a competition because he and Jamie had won their division locally.

Preceding him in death was his dad, Bob. Bobby leaves behind daughter Kayla, mom Judy, sister Cody Tiner (husband Jason) and their children Jason (19), Bella (16), Gunner (10), and Ruby (8).

Bobby will be remembered for many things but especially his humor, his handsomeness, and his connection with people.

While his family mourns his loss, they find comfort in knowing he is talking “golf” and “horses” with his dad in eternity.

Services will happen at a later time.
