Robert Charles Johnson, known lovingly to family and friends as "Bob," passed away on July 4, 2026, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Born on July 9, 1944, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Bob lived a life marked by generosity, loyalty, and an unwavering devotion to those he loved.

 Bob's family relocated to Colorado in 1956, where he graduated from Lakewood High School in 1962. A gifted and driven student, he attended the prestigious Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado, where he earned his professional degree in petroleum engineering in 1966 and was recognized on the Dean's Honor Roll, a testament to his sharp intellect and disciplined work ethic.

 Bob built an impressive career in engineering and business. He served as Chief Engineer at Standard Oil of Indiana for nineteen years, where he earned a reputation for dependability and technical expertise. He then spent four years as an independent oilman in Houston, TX, before becoming an owner of Cyclo Manufacturing Company in Denver, Colorado, with his best friend, Ray Gherardini, a venture they ran for eighteen years. Together, they expanded Cyclo’s manufacturing and distribution worldwide. His professional accomplishments reflected the same qualities that defined him personally: intelligence, determination, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

 On September 20, 2002, Bob married the love of his life, Nadine, and together they built a home filled with laughter, warmth, and love. Bob was a devoted husband, a caring father, and a man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His great sense of humor and playful spirit brightened the lives of all who knew him. A proud Eagle Scout, and a dedicated Sertoma member at Pinehurst Country Club, Bob believed deeply in service to his community. He was an avid golfer, reader, skier, and lifelong car enthusiast. Few things brought him more joy than cheering on his beloved Colorado Rockies, Broncos, and Nuggets. 

Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Nadine Johnson; his daughter, Christy Fassnacht (Von); his sons, Mark Johnson and Todd Johnson (Adriana); his stepdaughters, Jessica Nuncio and Veronica Nuncio; 9 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Johnson; his mother, Alice Johnson; and his sisters, Karen Hovde and Barbara Johnson.

 May Bob's generous spirit and the love he so freely gave bring comfort to all who mourn his passing. He now rests peacefully in God's grace, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, loyalty, and kindness that will endure in the hearts of his family and friends for generations to come.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on January 9, 2027, at Three Trees Chapel (13416 W Arbor Pl, Littleton, CO 80127). Additional details to come.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made in Bob’s memory to either CU Anschutz in support of the Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America; both causes are meaningful to Bob and his family.
