Riley Albertson

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Riley William Albertson on October 12, 2021 at the age of 78.  Riley was born on September 26, 1943, in Deport, TX to Harley and Linnie Albertson.  His parents and sisters, Katie and Betty, preceded Riley in passing.  Riley married Sara (Taylor) Albertson on April 2, 1966.  She passed away on December 21, 2017.

Riley will be lovingly remembered by his children, Sean (Amanda) of Castle Rock, CO, and Eric of Littleton, CO, as well as his three grandchildren Kellen, Ryken, and Garren.  He will also be forever remembered by many other relatives and dear friends, as well as congregations he served in Ministry across Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma.

Riley and Sara Albertson attended Howard Payne University in the mid-1960’s. HPU was extremely important to them both as it helped them become the Christian adults that would have a major impact on students, church members and their communities throughout their lives.  Both Riley and Sara found they needed financial assistance to attend school and received small scholarships that made it possible.  For this reason, Riley established a memorial scholarship at Howard Payne to equip students to advance God’s Kingdom and continue the ministry of Riley and Sara.
