Rick Griffing

Rick Griffing, age 63 of Aurora, CO passed away on February 23, 2021, after a 2-year battle with cancer.

Rick was born in Jackson, MS in 1958.  Rick is survived by his son Douglas Griffing, grandsons Maddox and Rowan, his brothers Michael Griffing (MS), Hugh Griffing (MS), Jimmie Griffing (MS) and sisters Rose Austin (MS), Patsy Shows (MS), Deborah Sherman (MS) and numerous nieces and nephews.  Rick was preceded in death by his mother Frances Griffing, father Claude Griffing and sister Pamela Gunn.

Rick moved to Denver, CO in 1976 and worked several warehouse positions and a final position as a valued team member with ABM at Denver International Airport.  Rick’s interests included music, watching football and NASCAR.  He loved attending concerts, socializing with his family and friends and a Dallas Cowboy fanatic.

Rick was kind, loved to laugh, and never hesitated to start a friendly conversation with anyone he met.  Rick was a proud dad and an adoring grandpa-always ready to brag about his grandbabies.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
