Rick passed away on September 28, 2015 in Thornton, Colorado. He is survived by his wife Denise, children John, Brian, and Tara, father Fredrick, brother David, grandchildren Collin, Riley, and Liam. He is preceded by his mother Marjie, brothers John, and Jeff. Rick worked at Elms Haven Nursing Home, Northglenn, Colorado and Aspen Center (formerly Sable Care Center), Aurora, Colorado.
