Richard Chuven

Rich passed away May 26th, 2021. He was blessed with a peaceful transition from this world. He leaves 3 Sons, 2 Daughters, 5 Grandchildren, and 4 Great Grandchildren, Brother David, Beloved Sister JoElyn, and many dear friends like Dave, Don, Richard, and Emmett.

Born November 14th, 1951 in Ft. Lauderdale Florida and moved to Colorado at a young age. Rich was a biker, a talented musician, a master painter, and spent nearly two decades in charge of Maintenance at St. Joseph Hospital. He truly touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with. He was a great friend, a loving Brother, a good Dad, a wise Grandfather, and a fun G-Pa.

He will now join his wife Juanita, who passed in 2015. They were married nearly 40 years.

17 years ago, Rich had Open Heart Surgery, he retired and built a Chopper with his friends Dave and Don. The three of them then started an annual tradition of Drunken Debauchery at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

COPD and the need for oxygen finally kept him close. Though friends, family, and a love of comfort food at Lisa’s would keep him busy…a new heart condition and complications from the COPD took its toll.

Richard, at ease with his fate, and at peace with his maker, left this world on his terms. Leaving everyone that knew him a little sadder.
