Richard Paul Chaumont, 58, passed away on August 3, 2026, in Commerce City, Colorado. Richard was born on March 9, 1968, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to the late Louis Clem Chaumont of Point Noir and Martalin “Martha Lynn” Vidrine Chaumont of Basile. Throughout his life, Richard had a deep appreciation for music and found great joy in playing the guitar and singing. He possessed a curious mind and could spend countless hours discussing history, especially Roman history. He also had a profound love for literature, poetry, and classic plays, always enjoying thoughtful conversation and the written word. Richard will always be remembered for his passion for music and his love of intellectual conversation. Richard, also, proudly served his country in the United States Navy, ending with the rank of PO2. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, John Alvin Chaumont, and his sister, Kathy Louise Chaumont. Richard is survived by his two sons, Kyle Anthony Warren and Jade Joseph Warren, both of Big Spring, Texas, and his brother, Russell Chaumont of Duson, Louisiana.
