Rhonda Mechelle McMurtry

Ronda Mechelle McMurtry, age 61, of Old Hickory, TN, passed away on Sunday June 7th, 2026.

Born on March 16th, 1965 in Nashville, TN, Mechelle was the daughter of Danny McMurtry and Diana Williams. She was raised in Nashville and spent her life devoted to family, friends, and her community.

Mechelle was a dedicated occupational therapist for 20 years and was respected by her colleagues for her hard work, integrity, and kindness.

Mechelle was a talented musician and spent many years singing in many groups. She found great joy through music and spent most of her spare time at rehearsals preparing for upcoming shows.

Mechelle is survived by her daughter Daphne (Caleb) Carpenter, her mother Lydia Diana Williams, sister Tiffany Pinkston, brother Chuck McMurtry, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Danny McMurtry, step-father Larry Williams, and sister Lisa Athey.

The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation to everyone for their compassionate care and support. Mechelle will be remembered for her faith, generosity, devotion to family, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
