Rey-Rey took his journey into paradise on February 21,2021, and was reunited with his father, Reynaldo Chavez Sr.; sister, Yvette; brother, Anthony; his grandparents, Eugio and Amelia Montano, and Joe and Eurilla Chavez; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy Montano; his children, Iaesha and Isaiah Chavez; his brother and sister, Rudy and Renee Chavez, and stepmother, Margaret Gallegos; along with loving family members and dear friends.

Though his life had roads rough traveled, he never lost his faith. He loved fishing, reading, and writing in his journal.

Services will be held on April 24, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Church, 619 Copper Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102, Rosary at 9:00 am, Mass at 10:00 am, and Final Resting Place at San Jose De Armijo Cemetery.
