It is with great sadness that the family of Raul “Rudy” Rodriguez, 78 years old of Denver, Colorado announces his unexpected passing on May 23, 2022. Rudy was born September 22, 1944. He grew up in a large family in Denver, Colorado and graduated from West High School. After graduation, Rudy served in the U.S. Navy. He was proud of his time spent serving our country. Rudy was a man of many talents and loved using his hands. He did stonework, wood carving, bronze work, carpentry, drawing, photography, and played the guitar. His love of carpentry led him into his career in stone work designing monuments, woodworking and building furniture. He especially loved using his talents to build cradles, jewelry boxes, rocking horses and many other children's toys for his close family and friends. Rudy’s other hobbies included photography, hiking, fishing, and cooking delicious Mexican food. You could often find Rudy enjoying a good cup of coffee and cooking up in the mountains for the many friends he met along the way. He loved animals, and always fed all the birds and the squirrels. Rudy is preceded in death by his special lifelong partner, Phyllis Hamilton and granddaughter Kyla Hamilton. Rudy is survived by his loving family Gil {Carol} Hamilton, Kevin {Kathy} Hamilton, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at Fort Logan Cemetery, Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 10:00 am at Staging A.
