Nina JoAnn Trujillo

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nina Joann Trujillo, on April 22, 2024 at the age of 48. Nina was a devoted mother, cherished daughter, loving sister and dear friend to many.

Nina was born May 23, 1975 in Denver to Loretta Salazar and Richard Trujillo. She grew up in the Denver area, graduating from Jefferson High School in 1993 before pursing her passion for helping others in the medical field. After completing her education at Concorde Career College, she received her Medical Assisting certificate and started her career helping patients. Her colleagues remember her as a kind member of the team and brought joy and laughter to the office and creating lifelong friendships. Beyond her full family and social life, Nina had a passion for horror movies. She loved all the scary movies, but especially any Michael Meyers movie. Nina was also an avid Madonna fan and had the opportunity to attend her concert in 2024 with her brothers. It was a memorable experience that brought happiness in her final days. Though Nina may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She leaves behind her adoring children, Josephina (15) and Andres (19), who were the light of her life. In addition to her children, Nina is survived by her mother Loretta, brothers Brian & Robert (Debbie), sister Aleka (Justin), nephew Tyler and nieces Mikayla and Ashlynn and stepsister Tonya. She is preceded in death by her father Richard, grandparents Andres and Josephine, nephew Nicholas, stepfather Juan, and her best furry friend Snoopy.

A celebration of Nina’s life will be held on Saturday May 18 @ 11:00am at Revive Church 8270 W 80th Ave in Arvada CO.  

In honor of Nina’s fun spirit, the family asks that all guests were pink, her favorite color. Together, let us remember and celebrate the beautiful life of Nina Joann Trujillo.
