Nikki Lynn Torres passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, in Aurora, Colorado, at the age of 51. Born to Raymond and Angelina Torres on May 27, 1973, in Denver, Colorado. Nikki spent her life growing up in Brighton and across the Front Range—always close to the people and places she loved most.

A proud homemaker and loving mother, Nikki also played a key role as manager in her father’s business bringing both character and hustle to everything she did. Her greatest pride was raising her daughter, Domonique Cooke being a playful, loving presence in the lives of her family.

Nikki had a competitive streak and a knack for pool she never missed a chance to show off her skills around a table. She loved scrapbooking and was happiest either spending time with friends or being with her dad. Her cat, Seth Torres, was her constant companion and comfort as she put it “the only man of her life”.

Nikki was known to be a loving yet crazy aunty to her nieces Angelica González Aracelli Garcia and nephew Emilio Garcia. She poured herself into those relationships with the same caring warmth she gave to her daughter. She also leaves behind her bonus son, Diego, and bonus nephew, René, both of whom she loved as her own. Her presence in their lives was a gift they will carry forward.

Nikki is survived by her daughter Domonique Cooke son-in-law Diego Arellano; parents Raymond and Angelina Torres; sister Kristy Torres; and the many family/friends who were lucky to know her. Though raised Catholic, her faith became more spiritual with time guided by love, resilience, and intuition.

She survived a liver transplant in December 1993, defying the odds and later becoming a mother despite being told she never could. Nikki was full of light, laughter, and her own unique charm always ready with a funny face, and never ending a goodbye without saying, “Love me.”

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Nikki’s spirit lives on in the stories, smiles, and hearts of those who loved her.
