Muriel J. Coulter, 95, formerly of Elmwood, Illinois, died Friday, June 17, 2016, in Denver.
Born April 2, 1921 in Peoria, Illinois to Edward and Lola Hellrigel Randall, she married Delmar R. Coulter of Elmwood, Illinois on January 29, 1950 in Peoria. He died October 23, 2002 in Tucson, Arizona.
Muriel is survived by one brother, Dale H. Randall of Tucson, Arizona; son Bruce Coulter (and Teri Spector) of Denver; stepsons Douglas Coulter (and Marilee) of Morton, Illinois and Barry Coulter (and Linda) of Farmington, Illinois; six grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one infant brother and her sister Mildred E. Rohman.
Muriel was a 1939 graduate of Peoria High School. She served in World War II from 1943 until 1946 in the Navy WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service). Following the war, she worked at Caterpillar Inc.
She will be interred at Elmwood Township Cemetery.
