Michael Mark Apodaca

Michael Mark Apodaca, Mike to his friends and family, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on Memorial Day, May 25, 2026, after a courageous 2 week battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 54. Born on November 1, 1971, in Cheyenne, he was the son of Mike and Lucille Apodaca.

He graduated from Cheyenne East High School in 1990 and built a life rooted in hard work, loyalty, and community. At the time of his passing, Mike served as Shipping Manager at Schroll Cabinets in Cheyenne, where he was known for his reliability and dedication, taking pride in his perfect attendance.

A long-time member and trustee of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Cheyenne, Mike cherished the camaraderie and service opportunities it provided. He was an avid sports fan, passionately supporting the Las Vegas Raiders and Michigan Wolverines. He also loved traveling, music and concerts, Marvel and D.C., the WWE and his baby girl, Gracie. Above all, he was a man with a heart of gold—someone who formed deep friendships easily and was always ready to help others. He touched the lives of many and will be remembered for his kindness, humor, hugs, and unwavering loyalty.

He is survived by his brothers Andrew, Steve, and Casey; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and his extended lifelong family, as well his best friend and soul mate Tamra Peden, whom he loved deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Lucille Apodaca, and his dog Taos. Mike lived a life defined not by material things, but by the relationships he nurtured and the quiet strength he showed through challenges. Those who knew him are better for it. He will be deeply missed.
