Maryann Frederick, 93, of Kimball, NE passed away on June 5, 2026 in Thornton, CO.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Friday, June 19, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 507 S. Howard St., Kimball, NE 69145. Burial will immediately follow in the Kimball Cemetery. Memorial has been established to Bloom Hospice, 10900 W 44th Avenue, Suite 200, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.

Maryann was born in Kimball, NE to Ray and Amelia (Mikkelson) Roberts on September 21,1932. She started school in a one room schoolhouse, in Colorado and graduated from Kimball County High School in 1950. She worked at the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) office for several years, where she met her husband. She also went on to work for Montgomery Wards, Farm Bureau, the American National Bank and Sidney Federal Savings and Loan.

She was married to Douglas Frederick on March 16, 1957 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Kimball. She was proud to be a farmer’s wife and together they raised their son and daughter.

Survivors include her daughter Janet Frederick of Thornton, CO; son Allen Frederick of Williston, ND; grandson Jon Frederick of Denver, CO; and sister Dorothy (Herbert) Eckas of Greeley, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Elsie Farley and brother Junior Roberts.
