LuAnn Denise Lindberg

May 4, 1953 — March 17, 2024

Albuquerque, New Mexico

LuAnn Denise Tveit Lindberg, 4th daughter of Warren and Vivian Tveit, was born May 4, 1953 in Roseau, Minnesota and died March 17, 2024 in Albuquerque, New Mexico of peritoneal cancer. She grew up on the MN Iron Range, graduated from Mt. Iron High School in 1971, and from Hibbing Area Technical School from the medical laboratory course in 1972.

She was united in marriage to Paul Lindberg in 1972 at Turtle Island on Lake Vermilion. Son Jeremy was born in Duluth, MN in 1974. Although she loved the MN lakes and wilderness, the sunny warm weather of New Mexico stole her heart, and she lived in the Albuquerque area since 1980. Besides working as a lab tech for 43+ years, she developed a love of travel, bicycling 1200 miles from Massachusetts to Florida, and visiting all but 2 of the states in the US. Before retirement, she was also able to travel in Italy, Belgium, Holland, and France, often traveling with Jeremy. Following her retirement in 2015, she walked 500 miles across northern Spain on the Camino de Santiago, walked 200 miles along the Portuguese Camino, visited Ireland and Scotland, drove across both the North and South Islands of New Zealand, and most recently visited Iceland and traveled through her ancestral homeland, Norway, by train, plane, automobile, and ferry. Her after retirement travel companion was her sister and best friend, Deanna. Her time was filled with the ups and downs of life, adventures, exciting people, places, and great friends, and lastly, she has gone home with her Lord. Her advice to all friends and family: "Surround yourself with people who feel like sunshine; keep life simple; kindness and love are the most powerful forces on earth". And a quote from John Muir: "Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt."

LuAnn is survived by her husband Danny Urquhart of Rio Rancho NM, son Jeremy Lindberg (Nick Cernese) of East Hampton NY, sisters Deb Tveit of Longmont CO, Linda Clark (Bob) of Kenora, Ontario, Canada, Dawn McIntyre (Joe Marino) of Albuquerque NM, and brother-in-law Daryl Brekke of Rock Island IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Deanna.
