Linda Louise (Rubel) Weger

With profound sadness and an abundance of love, we announce the passing of Linda Louise (Rubel) Weger, age 75, of Parker, Colorado, who passed away on August 6, 2026.

Linda was known by many names throughout her life, but some of the most cherished were “Nana,” “Neeners,” and “Granny.” Each name belonged to a different relationship and carried with it its own special memories, but they all represented the same woman who was deeply loved by her family.

Linda was born on September 13, 1950, in Summit, Illinois, to the late Joseph Rubel and Francis (Sklany) Rubel. She grew up as part of a large family, and throughout her life, family and the people she loved remained at the heart of who she was.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Donald “Donnie” Weger, her high school sweetheart. Their journey together began when they were young and, through the many chapters and complexities of life, they shared decades of history and built a family together. Whatever life brought along the way, Donnie remained an important part of her story and of the family they created.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Francis Rubel, and her brother, Joe Rubel.

Linda leaves behind her loving daughters, Lisa Kundid and Jennifer Kuhl, and her sons-in-law, Mike Kundid and Tom Kuhl, who were an important part of her family and her life.

She was an incredibly proud and loving grandmother to her five grandchildren, Michael (Ashley), Matthew, Scott (fiancée Lexi), TJ, and Sammi. Each held a very special place in her heart, and being their grandmother brought her tremendous happiness.

Her family continued to grow with her beloved great-grandchildren, Jax and Noah, with another precious baby girl on the way. The love Linda gave to her family will continue through the generations that follow.

Linda is survived by her brothers, Tommy Rubel, Billy Rubel, and Jimmy Rubel, as well as her sister and best friend, Joyce Love. Linda and Joyce shared a particularly special bond that went far beyond being sisters. Joyce was her best friend, confidante, and an important part of her life through the years. Their relationship was filled with a lifetime of shared memories, laughter, conversations, and love.

Linda also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends.

One of the things that defined Linda most was the way she always put others before herself. She had a caring and giving heart and was happiest when the people she loved were taken care of. Whether someone needed help, comfort, support, or simply her presence, Linda was there. She often worried about everyone else before worrying about herself. Caring for the people she loved wasn’t simply something she did—it was part of who she was.

Linda also knew how to enjoy the things that made life fun. When she was able, she loved to travel. Some of her favorite adventures were cruising, visiting Las Vegas, and spending time in beautiful Maui. She loved the excitement of playing the slot machines, enjoyed a good game of bingo, and treasured the trips, adventures, and memories she made along the way.

And then there was Christmas.

Christmas was Linda’s favorite holiday of the year. She loved the traditions, the excitement, and everything that came with the season, but most of all she loved having her family together. The Christmas memories she created will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved her, and each Christmas will carry a little piece of Linda with it.

Of all the things Linda enjoyed throughout her life, however, nothing compared to the love she had for her family. Her family was her greatest joy and will always be her greatest legacy.

She leaves behind a lifetime of memories—holidays and family gatherings, cruises and vacations, bingo games and trips to the casino, laughter and conversations, and the countless ordinary moments that now mean more than words can express.

To some she was Linda. To others she was Nana, Neeners, or Granny. But no matter what name they called her, they knew the same caring, giving woman who loved her family deeply and so often put everyone else before herself.

Linda was deeply loved, will be profoundly missed, and will remain forever in the hearts of her family. The greatest way to honor her is to carry forward the same love, kindness, and selflessness she so freely gave to others.
