Lillian M. Perez



Lillian Marie Perez blessed this world on June 15, 1936, and was the second daughter to Andy and Cora Urioste, and left this world on October 31, 2023.

Lillian (Lil) grew up in Pueblo Colorado where she raised her family. In time, she moved to Denver to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She went on to work at the IRS for 15 years in both Colorado Springs and Denver.  Lil was a woman whose world revolved around her family and loved them with all her heart. She spent much of her life providing for her kids and instilling the love of family. She was always there to offer advice, a place to stay, a helping hand or just an ear when needed.  Lil especially loved cooking for her family, especially when the family was gathered in her home. She was also known as “Mom” and “Grandma Lil” to our many friends.

Lil cherished her grandkids and was so proud of them all, each will have memories that will forever warm their hearts. She had a love of dancing and music and we all giggled when she would tap dance and jitterbug for us.  Her passing leaves a hole in all our hearts, and we will always have memories of her to fill them.

Mom you will forever be in our hearts and remember “I love you more today than yesterday, but not as much as tomorrow”.

Lillian was the mother of four children. She leaves behind Roberta (Kelly) Purser, Frank (Betty) Perez, Anna (Ernie) Navarette, Chris (Tara) Perez, her brother Ray (Josie) Urioste, and sister-in-law Cheryl Urioste. She was grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Lil is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Cora Urioste, brother Andy Urioste, sister Dorothy Sammon, brother-in-law Hurley Sammon, sister Mary Baca and brother Tom Urioste.
