Laben Thomas Mowery, Jr.

Laben Thomas “Tom” Mowery , age 85, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on October 29, 2025.

Tom was born on November 12, 1939, in Middletown, OH to Laben Thomas Mowery, Sr and Margaret Mowery Wagner, nee Darr. He was a beloved son, brother, grandfather, and father. Tom graduated from Monroe High School and served honorably in the United States Navy for four years. Tom retired from Borden Metal where he worked in sales in both Ohio and Tennessee.

He enjoyed fishing, sports (Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns, and the Dayton Flyers), and especially enjoyed extended trips to Las Vegas to play video poker. Tom will be remembered for dedication to family and friends and his willingness to help others. 

Tom is survived by his brothers, Roger Mowery (Kathy Bruni), Denny Mowery (Therese), and sister, Margie Mowery, stepchildren, Tim (Kim) Wright, Chris (Betsy) Wright, and son, Thomas Craig (Mary Ann) Mowery. and preceded in death by his parents, stepson Scott (Amy) Wright, grandchildren Andrew Scott Wright and Kit Wright. Tom is survived by eleven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A celebration of Tom’s life is pending. The family would like to thank all those for their continuing prayers and the sharing of fond memories of Tom and his impact upon their lives.
