Kim Dalbec, a beloved wife and mother, compassionate friend, and a true social butterfly, passed away on June 21, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Born on February 14, 1958, Kim touched the lives of many with her selfless nature and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
Throughout her life, Kim held various jobs that reflected her caring nature. She began her career as a drug and alcohol counselor, providing support and guidance to those in need. Later, she shared her nurturing spirit at a preschool, where she nurtured the young minds entrusted to her care. Her role as a paraprofessional at a middle school allowed her to continue to demonstrate her love for others.
However, it was in her role as a homemaker for her three children that Kim found the greatest joy and fulfillment. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family, spending endless hours ensuring her children had every opportunity to pursue their dreams. Kim was a constant presence on the sidelines, cheering on her kids in their various sports and extracurricular activities, and providing unwavering support and encouragement.
Kim was not only a devoted mother but also a loving and supportive wife to her husband. Together, they navigated life's challenges and celebrated its joys, providing each other with unwavering support and companionship.
Kim's welcoming and accepting nature made her a cherished figure in the lives of many. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel like family, and many considered her a second mother. Her warm smile, kind heart, and genuine interest in others created a safe space for people to be themselves.
She will be remembered as a beacon of love, compassion, and selflessness. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, as well as all those whose lives she touched. Her memory will continue to inspire acts of kindness and remind us to embrace and accept one another without judgment.
Kim is survived by her loving husband, Steve Dalbec, her cherished children, Paul Dalbec, Steven Dalbec, and Brittany McKinley, and her beloved son-in-law, Bret McKinley. Kim adored her three grandchildren, Hailey, Hollyn, and Hudson, who brought immense joy to her life. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Steve Rutlen. Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Elaine Rutlen, as well as her brothers, Mike and Mark Rutlen. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In honor of Kim's life, a funeral service will be held on Thursday July 20th 11:00am at Spirit of Christ. A luncheon will follow the service. Family and friends are invited to gather and share their memories of this remarkable woman.
