KAREN CELIA FIEDLER

April 29, 1947 – September 29, 2025

Karen Celia Fiedler passed away peacefully on September 29th, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted educator, Karen dedicated over 40 years of her life to teaching, counseling, and school leadership. She began her remarkable career in the 1970s in Harlem, New York - a time and place she remained deeply proud of throughout her life.

While in New York she met the love of her life, Richard. They eventually moved to New Mexico in the 1980s where together, they shared 48 wonderful years of marriage and raised their daughter, Tanith. Karen taught at Capital High, Santa Fe High, and several Pueblo schools in the area, leaving a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues.

Outside the classroom, Karen found joy in tending her beautiful gardens, caring for animals, and, above all, spending time with her beloved grandson, Jason. He was not only her pride and joy but also her best friend and soulmate.

Karen is survived by her husband, Richard; her daughter, Tanith; and her grandson, Jason. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
