Karen Sue Crooks (Westfall) passed away quietly on March 2, 2023, at approximately 11:25 am at Rose Medical Center, after an almost weeklong illness the Lord called her home. Karen was born in Davenport, IA on May 11, 1945, to Harry and Edith Westfall and was the youngest of 6 children. All her siblings have preceded her in death; Lois, Kenneth, Joyce, Harry and Wendell. Her family relocated a few times around Illinois but ultimately called Galesburg home. She graduated Galesburg High School in 1963 and married her high school sweetheart on August 28, 1965. Karen and Robert started their family in Burlington, IA calling it home until 1984 when they relocated to Littleton, CO. They lived in the southern Denver Metro area since moving from Iowa. Karen leaves behind her husband, Robert (77) of Aurora, Corey (son, 51) and wife Amy, Kyle (son, 47) and wife Suzanne. She also leaved behind 5 grandchildren; Jessica (23), Cameron (21), Tyler (20), Zachary (18) and Andrew (12).

Karen Loved her family, get togethers and reunions, her flower gardens, vegetable gardens, cross-stitch, love jigsaw puzzles, and measuring the grandkids height at every holiday. She was never one to shy away from a challenge that she hadn’t tried before including; installing a multiple brick paver patios, creating large scale games for the grandkids, building her own picnic table, and investigating the roof when she felt it necessary. Karen was an amazing wife, mother and person who will be dearly missed.
