Josephine Joy Andrew

Josephine Joy Andrew, 97, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on September 9, 2023. She was born on August 5, 1926, in Pueblo, Colorado, to Joseph Eloy Solano and Lita Solano (Strong).

Joy, as she preferred to be called, was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her sons Maurice (Linda) Andrew, David (Kathy) Andrew, Michael Quintana, and Reed (Karen) Andrew. She was also blessed with 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Joy was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Eloy Solano, her mother, Lita Solano (Strong), and her brothers Arthur and Henry Solano.

In her lifetime, Joy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She found solace and strength in her faith, and her church community was an important part of her life.

Joy will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, her devotion to her family, and her unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A private memorial service will be held to honor Joy's life and legacy.
