John W. (Bill) Foster, 68, of Thornton and Commerce City, passed away September 19, 2023

He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years Rebecca. His son William of Cheyenne, from a previous marriage. Son, Zachary (Leslie) of  Commerce City, daughter Rachel (John) of Northglenn. Granddaughter Lilah, Grandson John Patrick. Sister, Dorothy Foster of Topeka, Kansas. Many nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Foster of Commerce City, brother Robert, sister Shirley and two nephews.

He graduated in 1973 from Adams City High School and spent his adult life in the area. John worked a variety of jobs from carpet and pipeline installation to cleaning up toxins at the Arsenal. For the last several years he was a courier mostly delivering auto parts.

John's favorite thing was bragging about his kids, followed closely by flying paper airplanes with his grandson. He loved fishing in the Poudre Canyon and Red Feathers lakes. Spending time in the yard, he worked so hard on, with familiy and friends. He started each day with Soduku puzzles, was an avid reader of History, biographies and J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth. And, of course he was Bec's treasured photo partner.

John loved with a very big heart that touched many lives. Each were enriched by their meeting and are depleted with this parting. We will miss him always.
