John Matthew Delaney

John Matthew Delaney, 90, of Franktown, CO passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born May 2, 1936, in Baltimore, Maryland.

John, known to many as “Jack,” was the beloved husband of Wilma Delaney for more than 5 decades. Together, they built a life centered on family, love, and enduring commitment. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and he will be remembered for his love of running marathons, his humor and his wisdom.

He was the son of the late Winifred Leavy Delaney and Joseph James Delaney. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Delores Moran and Alice Lefaivre, and his daughter, Maureen Delaney.

Jack is survived by his children, Laura Delaney, Maureen Delaney, Steven Delaney, Joseph Delaney, and Shaunda VanWert (Michael); his grandchildren, Kelly, Matthew, Brianna, Ciera, Rowan, and Pria; and two great-grandchildren.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
