Jerry Martinez

February 8, 1977 — October 11, 2025

Santa Fe, New Mexico

Jerry Jeffery Martinez, a man of great kindness, a huge heart, and a faithful spirit, gained his angel wings on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the age of 48.

Born on February 8, 1977, to Geronimo and Ruth Martinez, Jerry’s life was defined by his loyalty—to his family, his faith, and his favorite sports teams. A devoted son, brother, and father, Jerry treasured the time he spent with his mother, Ruth Martinez, and his brother, Adrian.

His greatest joy in life, however, was his son, Castiel. Jerry often called him his "bluebird," and the deep bond they shared brought him immeasurable happiness.

Jerry was a faithful communicant of the Catholic Church and a passionate enthusiast of all things Boston sports. He never missed an opportunity to cheer on his beloved New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Celtics. His vibrant spirit and loyalty will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth Martinez and her boyfriend Trinidad Alvarado his brother, Adrian Martinez; and his son, Castiel Martinez, along with the mother of his son, Johana Martinez, and her boyfriend, James and countless numbers of beloved family members and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Geronimo Martinez, and a host of beloved family members including his grandparents, Isadora Martinez, Jose A. Martinez, Raymundo Gonzales, and Virginia Gonzales; his uncles, William Gonzales, Epimenio (Pepper) Gonzales, Pat Martinez and Cornelio (Corny) Martinez; and his aunts, Antonette Perea, Dolores Gonzales, his God Parents Clyde and Martha Carter and Sister Odette Rivera.

Jerry will be deeply and profoundly missed by his family and friends.

A Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at St. Anne’s Parish in Santa Fe. The Rosary will begin at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m.
