Jeffrey Wayne Powers July 23, 1959 – September 8, 2025

Jeffrey “Jeff” Wayne Powers, 66, of Thornton, CO, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on July 23, 1959, in Denver, CO, to Phyllis Marian Powers and John Thomas Powers, Jeff was proud of his roots in Central City, where he spent his youth riding dirt bikes, enjoying time with cousins and family, and creating memories filled with adventure.

On March 17, 1979, Jeff married Teresa Roybal, the mother of his children. He went on to build a successful career in the freight industry, founding Powers Custom Delivery, which grew into a family business. His greatest pride, however, was always his children. Jeff dedicated himself to supporting, encouraging, and celebrating their successes in every aspect of life.

Jeff had many passions and hobbies. He was an avid collector of glass insulators, a pursuit that took him and his family on vacations across the country to attend insulator conventions. He also loved basketball, flag football, softball, lifting weights, music, and attending concerts. Beyond his interests, Jeff had a lifelong commitment to community. Known for his kindness and generosity, he made everyone feel welcome, included, and valued.

On June 1, 2024, Jeff married his longtime partner of 18 years, Mary Frank. Together, Jeff and Mary shared a life filled with concerts, unforgettable parties, travel, and the joy of family and friends. Jeff especially cherished his role as “Grandpa,” faithfully attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and school activities, always their biggest fan and encourager.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Mary Powers; his children, Amanda Powers and Craig (Kailyn) Powers; his grandchildren, Adriana, Berkleigh, Teagan, Maverick, and Brycen; and his brother, James “Jim” Powers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Phyllis and John; his sister, Joanne; and his brother, Jerry.

A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at his home, in true Jeff style.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the memorial fund.

The Powers family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support, and to the healthcare teams who provided compassionate care throughout Jeff’s journey.
