Jaylan Demetrious Moton

July 20, 2005 — July 21, 2025

Thornton, Colorado

Jaylan Demetrious Moton, age 20, of Thornton, Colorado, was tragically taken from us far too soon. He passed away leaving behind a legacy of curiosity, passion, and love that will be remembered by all who knew him.

Born in Denver, Colorado, Jaylan grew into a young man full of energy, ambition, and a fierce love for life. He worked as a roofer for Rocky Mountain Roof Drs., alongside his boss and friend, Andy Rock, whom Jaylan looked up to as a positive role model. He took great pride in his hard work and determination.

Outside of work, Jaylan found joy in fast cars—especially old-school muscle cars—and in exploring the mountains that surrounded his home. He was an avid gamer, a family man at heart, and someone who always sought out new things to learn. His inquiring mind made him a walking encyclopedia of sports knowledge, especially during football season, which he loved for both the game and the friendly bets.

Jaylan loved life and had deep respect for every person he ever encountered. His presence left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was raised to value and respect life, and he made sure to leave a fingerprint on the hearts of those around him. Jaylan had a beautiful soul and loved his family and friends deeply. Though his life was taken tragically, his legacy will live on forever.

Jaylan is survived by his loving parents, Ramona Trombley and Emery Trombley; his siblings Brianna Dominguez, Desirae Holiday, Darian Moton, Joe Tafoya, Emery Trombley Jr. and Amiya Moton; his grandparents Cara Peterson, George Lanford, Percillla Giron, Kathy Giron, and Richard Trombley; his girlfriend Serenity Reviere; his uncles Brandon Whitford and Larry Reviere; his seven nieces and nephews—and another nephew on the way, whom he adored and was very excited about.

Jaylan now joins his grandfather Joe Giron and all his loved ones who have passed on in Heaven, where we know they are together watching over us.

Jaylan’s spirit, humor, and big heart will never be forgotten. His presence lit up every room, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

In accordance with his family’s wishes, Jaylan’s remains will be spread along Going-to-the-Sun Road in Browning, Montana, on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation—a place filled with cherished memories from his childhood.

Funeral arrangements are currently being planned and will be shared by the family once finalized
