Janice Marie Lansberry

Janice Marie Lansberry, age 86, died on May 17, 2025, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Littleton, Colorado, ever supported by family to the very end.

Jan was the superior accountant, always using her skill with numbers to make a difference in the businesses she touched. She truly excelled in the accounting business partnership she had with her husband, R&J Accounting Services, in Corry, Pennsylvania. Jan had many roles: daughter, sister, spouse, parent, grandparent, great grandparent, teacher and many times a friend. She served in many capacities in the churches she attended including elder, finance committee, scholarship committee, and assisting in the church office, just to name a few.

Janice was born on April 4,1939, to Elsie (Clingan) and Jens Sorensen in LaJunta, Colorado, and was the oldest of two daughters. Jan graduated from high school in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 1957 and then attended the University of Denver with a focus on accounting. Cupid struck in accounting classes at the University of Denver in 1961, when she was connected to the future love of her life, Roger Lansberry. Jan and Roger were married on June 10, 1961, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The couple relocated to Corry, Pennsylvania, in 1966 and ultimately retiring in Sun City West, Arizona in 2001.

Left to honor Janice are her three children, Sandra (Douglas) Hornak of Powder Springs, Georgia; James (Theresa) Lansberry of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Jeffrey (Lori) Lansberry of Littleton, Colorado; as well as son-in-law Aylmer Given of Dublin, New Hampshire; and sister Karoline Sorensen of Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Jan also leaves behind 14 grandchildren: Hope, Joshua, Brandon (Hayley), Moriah (Eric), Samuel (Julia), Tobias (Hannah), Elsie (Alex), Peter, Margary, Isabella, Alexis, Clara, Jubilee, Ezekiel and seven great grandchildren.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roger, and daughter, Cynthia Lansberry Given.

Jan will be remembered as a bright shining light in the various communities she served and lived.

A memorial service will be held at Brookdale Assisted Living in Littleton, Colorado, on Friday, May 30th at 2:00 pm MDT

A private family service will be held with a celebration of her life later in 2025.
