Janelle Margurite Domrase, 48, passed away on May 21, 2026, at 2:06 a.m. in Albuquerque, New Mexico, following medical complications. Janelle was born on December 26, 1977, in Alpena, Michigan. She grew up and came of age in the Chicagoland area, where she spent many years building a career as a contracted project manager. Over the course of her career, she worked with companies and organizations including Abbott Laboratories, US Cellular, and the American Medical Association. Janelle was a natural extrovert, an explorer, photographer, and animal lover. She enjoyed music of many different genres, video games, and spending time with the animals she loved so much. She was proud of her German and Italian heritage and especially proud of her parents and the life they built. Janelle was a straight-shooter and rarely held back what she thought or believed. She was ambitious and creative, had a big personality, and was not afraid to be herself. She left an impression on the people around her. Her animals were a huge part of her life. She leaves behind her beloved dog, Sugar, who has been placed for adoption with sponsorship. She also loved her other pets, including the original Sugar, Oreo, Gummy Bear, Brody, LadyBird, and Dolly. Janelle was preceded in death by her parents, Alden (Elden) and Janet (Di Silvestro) Domrase; her grandparents, Vincent and Margaret Di Silvestro and Ferdinand and Clara Domrase.She is survived by her children, Jade and Michael; her grandson, Christopher; her sister, Angela Domrase; and her niece and nephew, TJ and Missy. Janelle was gone too soon and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
