Jackson Montgomery Pollard, known to everyone who loved him as “Jiggy”, passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 23. A Nashville native through and through, Jackson was born in Music City on October 24, 2002, and it was there, surrounded by the sounds that shaped his life, that his story came to a close.

Jackson graduated with honors from Wilson Central High School in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, in 2021. From there he enrolled in Middle Tennessee State University where he studied Audio Production and Advanced Guitar. After four years of study, it was his love…no, his PASSION…for the guitar that led him to leave the university and chase a life in music. And chase it he did.

From that moment on, Jackson played with multiple performing bands. Rock ’n Roll, Texas Blues, country, acoustic ballads, folk music; he loved it all and played it all. ”I’ll play anything, at any time, and with anyone!”, he’d declare to anyone who’d listen, and he meant every word. At times he was playing in as many as five bands all at once. When he wasn’t on stage, you could often find him in the recording studio, creating music with fellow artists, producing their albums, and lending his wildly creative guitar work to countless independent projects.

Long before the guitar took over, Jackson was a kid who played Little League Baseball, and went on to earn his 2nd Degree Blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do. He loved the outdoors, especially camping, hiking, kayaking and playfully giving chase to his beloved Basset Hound, Cash. Anyone who knew Jackson knew his light was contagious. He brightened the life of every single person who had the pleasure of meeting him. He was unapologetically and uniquely himself, always willing to go well out of his way for the ones he loved. He lit up a room the moment he walked in, the most alive man some had ever known, with the most genuine soul.

He could make anyone laugh with his antics and jokes, and he dearly loved seeing smiles on the faces of others. Jackson was an inspiration to all who knew him. No matter what he was doing he never failed to stop and offer kindness and support to anyone he saw in need. As one dear friend put it so well, “What an amazing musician, caring person, and beautiful soul the world has lost. Fly high, Jiggy!!”

Jackson is survived by his mother, Roseanna Jones; his father, Gil Pollard; and his beloved big sister, Savannah Alexis Pollard. A Celebration Of Life will be held at a time and place to be determined, with details to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please donate to your charity of choice. The family wishes to thank his many friends for their unending love and support throughout his life. He was, as another friend said, “a true legend”, and the world will not soon forget his song.
