Ike De'Laneus Jones was born on October 15, 1976 at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born to Sherrie Jones and Isaac (Ike) Carter and is the eldest of two birthed children.
He is survived by his parents; his brother Terrence Jones and sister Lakenda Lewis Jones; his children, Kuraan Jones, Phoenix Jones and Jodi Jones; his grandchildren, Stella Jones and Audrey Jones; niece Taryn Jones and nephew Terrence Jones, Jr. We would like to acknowledge his uncles and aunts on both sides of his family, his cousins, extended family and so many friends, all of whom loved and valued him for the person he was.
He began his personal relationship with God at a very early age in life and it remained a strong influence throughout his life, as we know it here on earth.
He attended Gateway High School and The Manor in Aurora and graduated from Overland High School in Aurora, Colorado. He later attended Metropolitan State University of Denver, in Denver, Colorado. He worked in maintenance and security, but it was his love and talent as a musician and artist that brightened his journey through life. He was gifted as a musician, singer, creator of rap, poetry and rhyme. He leaves behind a body of awesome art and music.
He was known for his always cheerful and pleasant smile - already so missed by those close to him! Those who knew him appreciated his gift for wishing to see others happy. He was generous to a fault and would give anyone the shirt off his back.
He loved nature and fishing, was always ready to help and would be there to help others in need. His mannerisms, mastered skills, natural-given gifts and his outgoing, energetic personality made him essential to those around him. He truly cared about others and he will be truly missed.
