Helen Mcanally

Helen, 90, of Thornton, Colorado previously of Littleton passed away February 2nd, 2014. Survived by her husband of 65 years, Donald; daughters Kathy and Carol; 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and sister Gerry. Helen served in the Navy as a WAVE during WWII, a decision that changed the course of her life. She went on to earn a journalism degree at the University of New Mexico, where she also met her future husband. Together, she and Donald lived all over the world - Helen acted as a stabilizing force in this vagabond life; loving and supporting her husband and raising two daughters. No matter what life served up, Helen found a way to adapt and make the best of every situation. An avid reader, devoted Christian, creative spirit and lover of music, Helen was a well-loved woman who lived a long and full life.
