Gary Seastone passed away on February 20th, 2012 at St. Anthony Hospital, Lakewood, CO, after a year-long battle with cancer. He displayed amazing courage and strength dealing with his disease and all the treatments.

He was born on October 2, 1949 in Denver, CO to Mary Bette Bacon Seastone and Ernest Seastone. He graduated from Northglenn High School and attended the University of Colorado. His last employment was as a commercial construction estimator. His passions were music, art, film, politics, books, nature and exploring the unexplained mysteries of our planet and beyond. He was a very gifted and creative individual. He won an art contest at age 6 sponsored by a local children's TV program, The Fred and Fae show. Gary performed as the lead guitarist and singer in a local rock band in the 60s and 70s. He was a loving caregiver to his mother, Bette, for many years. He was very kind and nurturing to animals. He was a generous and caring man who was always there in the hard times for those he loved.

He resided in Lakewood, CO at the time of his death. Previously he had lived in Northglenn, Denver, Redstone, Basalt, Kittredge, CO and Taos, NM.

Gary will be sincerely missed by his family and friends.

Gary is survived by his brother, Gregg Seastone, two nieces, Lindsey and Lisa Seastone, his aunts, Charlotte Hayzlett and Phyllis Chilton, cousin Jan Hayzlett, many more cousins and ex-wife, Debbie Wilson Douglass. He was preceded in death by his mother Bette, father Ernest and his beloved cats, Hannah and Kyoko Di.
