Frank Melillo
11/03/1952 - 3/14/2024
Originally from New Haven CT, Frank was a skilled carpenter and
woodworker by trade, but those who knew him best, knew Frank as a deeply passionate naturalist and conservationist, which is profoundly evident in his breathtaking portfolios of original wildlife photography that stretch from the Florida Everglades to the Colorado Rockies. Frank was known as a generous man, kind-hearted, always insistent on picking up the check, yet always ready to speak his mind, especially against matters of injustice or inequity.
Frank and Vicki met by chance while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas. The two then went on to spend the next 25 years sharing the wonders of art, nature, and travel (That is when Frank wasn’t glued to the TV during NASCAR season). Frank is survived by his sister Judith Tighe, his nephew Tom Melillo, his niece Kathryn Tighe, his wife, Vicki Grabowski, and his best furry pal, Shadow.
Our beloved Frank passed away peacefully at home with Vicki at his bedside.
A family and friends gathering to honor and celebrate Frank’s life will be announced in the near future.
