In Loving Memory of Evelyn Williams

Evelyn Williams, born October 14, 1946, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to Alvin and Helen Williams, embarked on her final journey on February 7, 2024. Surrounded by the love of her family, Evelyn peacefully passed away at the age of 77.

Evelyn is survived by her brothers Ben (Susie) Williams and Al (Eva) Williams, and her sisters Angel (Kelly Spencer) Williams and Rachel (Bob) Truby, her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Bruce Johnson, who passed away on February 23, 2018.

Evelyn was a loving mother to her son Bryan Francis and daughter-in-law, Liz. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Bryan and Liz's children, Jack, Blake and Lily. She was a doting aunt to her many nephews and nieces and also embraced her stepchildren, Fred and Mark Johnson, and their families.

Evelyn was a highly educated individual, earning her Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate in Psychology from the University of New Mexico. She was a dedicated professional in the field of Human Factors Engineering at IBM and Hewlett-Packard until her retirement.

Beyond her academic and professional accomplishments, Evelyn was a woman of diverse interests and passions. In her leisure time, she immersed herself in the art of cooking and quilting, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creativity and skill. She also found solace in the simple pleasure of walking her dogs (Coney, Cassie and Monte), savoring their companionship and the tranquility of nature.

Evelyn will be remembered not only for her professional achievements but also for the love and warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. Her legacy lives on through the memories shared by family and friends.

A family celebration of Evelyn's life will be held this summer.

May Evelyn rest in peace, and may her memory continue to inspire and bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
