Evelyn Marion Egli

December 14, 1926 — May 28, 2025

Santa Fe, New Mexico

Evelyn Egli passed on to her heavenly home on May 28, 2025 at the age of 98.

Up until the end Evelyn maintained her positive outlook and often expressed her gratefulness for family, friends

and a wonderful life. She would reminisce about her childhood days growing up on a farm and

shared many stories from her fond memories.

Evelyn was born to Albert and Nora Dahle on December 14, 1926 in Fertile, Minnesota. She

grew up on a farm with her parents and four siblings, enjoying all that the farm life had to offer.

After high school she became a Registered Nurse and served in the Cadet Corps. She

eventually moved to Colorado, where she continued to work as a nurse. She met and married

her husband, Stan Egli while living in Colorado. She became the mother of two children, Doug

Egli and Sue (Egli) Carden. The family of four moved to New Mexico where Evelyn lived the

rest of her days. She was a dedicated nurse, loving wife, mother and grandmother and a caring

friend to all who knew her. She served in the United Methodist Church, which she loved dearly.

She lived a long and blessed life.

She is survived by her son Douglas and wife Regina of Santa Fe, NM, daughter Susan Carden

and husband Bill of Austin, TX, brother Myron of Battle Lake, MN, sister Gardis of Sheboygan,

WI, four grandchildren and one great grandchild, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Stan and her infant daughter Marlene.

Private family service will be held in her honor. Memorials can be sent to the charity of your

choice.
