Dorothy Dow

Dorothy E Dow, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt was born on May 17, 1951, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2021. Dorothy is survived by her three daughters: Davetta Trujillo, Teresa Dow and Lourdes Dow; her eight grandchildren: Analicia Trujillo, Andres Dow, Emilio Trujillo, Mateo Trujillo, Kristyna Trujillo, Yvaliz Dow, Dominique Trujillo, and Fabian Garcia, and her three great grandsons: Santino Dow, Antonio Trujillo, and Luciano Dow.
She was received in the loving arms of the family who passed before and whom she loved and deeply missed: father, Moises S Romero; mother, Mary Romero; aunt, Lucy Lopez; uncles, Justo Lopez, and Ralph Armenta; brother, Moises H Romero; and nephew, Moises M Herrera.  Her effervescence and love fueled life and laughter will be forever missed. Her wit was unrivaled.  She made a lasting impression on family, longtime friends, and strangers.
Our Mom showed people how to laugh and ‘not sweat the small stuff.’  She taught us to ‘stop taking life so seriously.’  We are forever grateful for her strength and stubborn determination.
She fiercely loved us, her “little duckies.”  She saw a new beauty in life with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her heart expanded beyond physical limitations.  She was greater than her small stature.  She was a force to be reckoned with!
Our Mom lived on her terms and true to her words, "no one’s going to clip my wings!"

A rosary will be held at 8:00 am on Friday, July 16, 2021, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 4th St NW, Albuquerque, NM.  Burial services will follow mass at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho, NM.
