David Wayne Shaw Obituary David Wayne Shaw, 57, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away on August 4, 2026, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, after a long battle with alcohol addiction.
David was born on December 16, 1968, in Beaumont, Texas, and was lovingly raised by his parents, Clifford Shaw and Judith (Losh) Shaw. He dedicated much of his life to mission ministry in Central America, serving others with compassion, humility, and a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around him.
David was a devoted partner to Catherine and a loving member of a large and close-knit family. He embraced Cathi's daughters, Megan and Bailey, as his own and found great joy in being "Papaw" to his beloved grandchildren, Liam, Olivia, and Ellis. His kindness, humor, and faith will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his partner, Catherine; her daughters, Megan (Dan) and Bailey (Tyler); siblings Suzanne Shaw, Priscilla (Ron) Scadden, Lydia Stark, and Jonathan (Lyndi) Shaw; nieces and nephews Keidra, Grant, Audrey, Ethan, Isabel, Josiah, Harmony, Sofia, Titus, and Evalyn; great niece and nephews Basil, Arabella, and Ira; grandchildren Liam, Olivia, and Ellis; as well as many extended family members and friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Shaw and Judith (Losh) Shaw.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at The Church in South Denver, 2288 S. Tennyson St., Denver, Colorado.
David's life was marked by his faith, his heart for serving others, and his deep love for family and close friends. Though he faced significant challenges throughout his life, those who loved him will remember the moments of joy, compassion, and connection he shared with them. His memory will continue to live on in the lives he touched and the family who carries his legacy forward.
