David Pino

d. July 10, 2021

Lifelong resident of La Cienega, David S. Pino passed away July 10. He was preceded in death by his infant son Andrew, brother Nicholas Pino, parents Mary Jo Davis and Facundo Pino.
He is survived by his children; Larry Pino and late wife Tina, daughter Judy Pino; grandchildren Gerald Peralta, Melissa Pino, Lawrence Pino (Melissa Duran), Nick Narvaiz (Amanda Lawrence), and Matthew Lovato; great-grandchild Lauren Pino and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
David grew up on what is now the El Rancho de las Golondrinas Museum in the Pino house. He learned to love animals and they loved him. He shared his experiences and his platicas (talks) were filled with stories of ranch life and the rich history of the Pino, Davis, and other New Mexico families.
David had a natural artistic talent. His doodles on homework would prompt complaints from the St. Michael's School Christian Brothers. Many knew about his cartoons and traditional Hispanic art that can be found in homes and galleries throughout Northern New Mexico. Few knew he took pen and ink lessons from famed artist Agnes Tait. He enjoyed life, was proud of his family, and was a devout Catholic. He is reunited with departed family in Heaven. Here, he will be missed immensely.
Services: August 5, 9:30 a.m. Rosary; 10:00 a.m. mass at San Jose Parish in La Cienega, NM; interment to follow. Masks are required.

The Family of David Pino has entrusted the care of their beloved one to Avista Cremation & Burial "where healing begins.
